GREEN BAY, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Though it's been more than a decade since the Green Bay Packers have
been to the Super Bowl, Associated Bank is helping the team rack up
another championship in the fight against hunger.
"At no other time in recent history has it been more important to help
those in need in our communities," said Paul Beideman, Associated
Banc-Corp Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Associated Bank has a
long history of investing in our communities through charitable
contributions and the tremendous time and talents our colleagues donate
to nonprofit and civic organizations each year. We are proud to help put
food on the tables of thousands in our communities through this
partnership with the Packers organization."
During the 2008 football season, the Green Bay Packers, on the strength
of their fans, captured their seventh consecutive championship in
Campbell's Chunky soup's "Click for Cans" online food drive. With the
victory, the Packers earned 17,000 cans of Chunky soup to be distributed
around Wisconsin. As the Packers corporate partner, Associated Bank has
joined the effort and will donate an additional 11,200 cans to the cause.
"This total donation of more than 28,000 cans of soup to 30 food
pantries around the state of Wisconsin is one more example of Associated
Bank's commitment to the communities we serve," said Denis Hogan,
Associated Bank Northeast Regional President. "And, we want to thank
Second Harvest and the participating food pantries around the state for
their remarkable work and dedication to providing essential human
services to our local communities and families."
Hogan joined Packers defensive backs Will Blackmon and Aaron Rouse along
with other community leaders and volunteers to distribute the cans to
approximately 60 food pantry representatives at Lambeau Field on
Thursday, March 5, 2009.

more than $1.5 million to more than 2,000 nonprofit organizations
focused on education, community and economic development, social and
human services, and arts and culture in our communities.
