Associated Bank hosts 'Puck Drop' for Minnesota Wild® fans

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- During a recent Minnesota Wild vs. Winnipeg Jets game, thousands of fans were cued by an animated video to search under their seats for one of 30 hockey puck stickers. The stickers entitled them to limited-edition hockey pucks complete with a special Wild-related experience.

A lucky winner found a winning puck sticker at Xcel Energy Center during a recent game as part of Associated Bank's Puck Drop.

This event kicks off Associated Bank's Puck Drop fan engagement contest, which continues with additional pucks hidden across the region, extending the bank's unique partnership with the Wild and offering a special experience and giveaways to fans.

Puck Drop winners and a guest will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Charlie Coyle and Jason Zucker during a VIP reception at Xcel Energy Center in February. Each winner will also take home a mini-hockey stick signed by both players.

Associated Bank will hide an additional 70 pucks throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin border areas. Fans can find the hidden pucks through daily clues from Associated Bank on Facebook (/AssociatedBank) and Twitter (@AssociatedBank) or sign up for daily email notifications at

In addition, a donation of $100 will be made to the Neighborhood Development Alliance in celebration of every puck that is found, totaling $10,000. This money will help to strengthen the social and economic well-being of neighborhoods in Saint Paul.

"As a proud business partner of the Minnesota Wild, Associated Bank is thrilled to be offering fans another exciting way to support their team and provide the opportunity to meet the players up close," said Christopher Piotrowski, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Associated Bank. "We also know Wild fans are as dedicated to the community as we are, so we're honored to contribute to the Neighborhood Development Alliance to help build a strong community."

The puck drop runs through February 12, 2016. For more information, visit

As the 'Home of Wild Checking,' fans are able to show their true pride with new customized Wild Checks and Debit Cards. This will include a $150 offer and 15 percent discount at all Hockey Lodge locations, the Wild's official team store.
